Bayview Centre redevelopment under construction
We are thrilled to announce that the redevelopment of Bayview Centre in Warrawong, NSW is currently underway. Formerly known as the Bunnings Warehouse, the Bayview Centre has been a significant landmark in the area for years, serving as a hub for shopping and community activities.
Located at the heart of Warrawong’s CBD, the redevelopment plan aims to transform the Bayview Centre into a modern and vibrant shopping and community space. While potential occupants are yet to be revealed, the project will feature a diverse mix of retail and entertainment options that will transform and meet the needs of the local community.
Engaged by Griffith Group i2C has been involved in the project from the DA stage through to town planning, construction documentation, and now the construction phase. We are proud to have revitalized the area and upgrade the site by extending the Bunnings building into eight retail tenancies, creating activation to Cowper Street, building three new drive-thru facilities, and providing community and garden spaces along King Street.
A challenge we faced during the project was flooding mitigation for the new drive-thru buildings for Starbucks, Oporto, and Hungry Jacks. The team work collaboratively to provide a solution of elevating all the buildings above the driveway to ensure uninterrupted hospitality during heavy rains.
We remain committed to ensuring that the project meets and exceeds the expectations of the local community and we look forward to seeing the new, modern and vibrant Bayview Centre.
