The process of creating architecture is continuing to integrate more with engineering disciplines. Our systems provide the rigour to ensure efficiency, consistency and practicality while we deliver creative project outcomes and meet performance and budget goals.
Computational design contributes to the quality of architecture we deliver through direct and indirect ways. Our dedicated computational design team creates efficiencies by automating existing tasks to free up time for our designers and technicians. This enables our team to put more time and focus into creating better designed community spaces, leaving the time-consuming and mundane tasks to computers. We also use computational methods to assess our designs and make sure they exceed client expectations, sustainability requirements and government regulations.
BUILDING INFORMATION MODELLING
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is the industry standard for managing and delivering projects in the built environment. While techniques of developing BIM models and exchange of data improve over time, our commitment is to continually improve its execution plans, workflows and content, through interaction and creative problem solving alongside our consultants and clients.
MATTERPORT AND POINT CLOUD
Matterport is a 3D technology platform that allows us to turn a space into an accurate and immersive digital twin model allowing clients to see how their completed designs will look before they are built.
We use point cloud laser scanners and in-house expertise to survey project sites and create highly accurate BIM existing conditions models. This has reduced the need for multiple site visits and removed error prone manual measuring methods from the process.
VISUALISATION SERVICES
The ability of three-dimensional work to communicate design is very powerful. Visualisations help our clients see what their space will look like once it’s built. Depending on the needs of our clients, we create visualisations that address different levels of quality and detail.
ANIMATIONS AND EXTENDED REALITY (XR)
We have been modelling our projects for 10 years as part of the way we do business. Animation and VR technology often assist us in sharing design concepts with our clients.
3D realistic animation pieces allow us to share a more detailed look through their site. Being able to offer clients the ability to experience their project as if they are moving through the site looking at it from different perspectives, angles and views.
