A decade after the tragic 2014 siege, the store pays homage to the victims, Katrina Dawson and Tori Johnson, with a dedicated memorial in collaboration with their families. At the heart of the store, a permanent floral tribute on the central tasting table stands as a poignant reminder, alongside the original plaques honouring the siege victims.

Dan Murphy’s Martin Place Cellar is situated at the former Lindt Cafe site in Sydney’s Martin Place
The store’s design seamlessly blends heritage-inspired interiors with a spacious layout, creating an inviting atmosphere for patrons to explore a premium selection of wines, bespoke spirits, and curated beers.
Tailored to cater to both the growing residential community and corporate clientele, Martin Place Cellar sets itself apart as a unique destination for wine enthusiasts and spirit connoisseurs alike.
The temperature-controlled environment showcases a meticulously curated collection of rare, back-vintage, and hard-to-source Australian and international wines and spirits. The store also hosts on-demand tastings and events, providing an immersive experience for patrons.
The site is heritage listed which informed the design
The renovation maintains the legacy of the heritage building by keeping the pre-existing fixtures and lighting. The ornate marble columns have been preserved, and the internal layout and colour scheme retained.
In collaboration with Twelve Architects, i2C worked closely with Dan Murphy’s and the consultant team to develop a comprehensive set of construction documentation, expediting lead times and bringing to life this premium concept store at Martin Place Cellar.
