Woolworths, West Village opens

Currently one of Brisbane’s most diverse projects, West Village in West End by Sekisui House is still under construction, but several retail offerings have been completed and have opened their doors, including Woolworths.

Our role in this Woolworths has been on two fronts having been involved in both the base build with Hutchinson Builders and the fit-out package with the Woolworths planning team.

This West End branch of Woolworths was earmarked as a high-end offering and is currently the newest and most advanced Woolworths in Queensland. It has premium finishes throughout such as timber cladding to columns as well as display tables and bulkheads in the produce section, a polished concrete floor throughout the trading floor and modern sign gantries and white subway tiles to all trading floor departments and entry columns along the shopfront. Some new features include a flatbread machine in the bakery and a Scan&Go checkout. A modern lighting scheme and colour palette also look to enhance the shopping experience.
