Ferry Road retail development
The Ferry Road site had an operating service station, with several adjacent food outlets and a café together with a standalone tavern. i2C was engaged to work on the concept design and development for a new retail development to the south of the existing developments.
The original design was for two retail showrooms however, this evolved into a Market Organics store along and a butcher shop and a City Cave water relaxation centre.
Hotel Property Investments had a tight project timeline which required tendering the DA documents with a comprehensive set of schedules and contract forms to a select number of builders. Mettle was appointed as the builder.
Early works started in April 2021 while they managed the consultancy team to finalise the construction documentation and obtain all other permits. i2C is happy that the outcome stayed true to the original design of exposed steel framed facades and stepping awnings with a simple colour palette allowing the tenants’ signage and graphic elements the maximum exposure.
The project was officially completed on 3 March 2022 with two of the three retail tenancies also fitted out and operational by this time.
The project development and delivery were very collaborative, resulting in a great design outcome with successfully trading tenants for Hotel Property Investments.
