We are proud to announce that i2C’s Brisbane Studio has been shortlisted for Best Brand Experience in this year’s Transform Awards ANZ.

When we outgrew our studio in Brisbane, we knew this move was an opportunity to create something unique for our Brisbane team.

Situated on Turrbal/Yuggera Country, in South Brisbane, this new i2C studio is placed within walking distance to Maiwar, the Brisbane River. Historically known as a significant source of food, and a shared gathering place for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, the South Brisbane area is these days known as an arts and culture centre of the city.

Co-created with Bernice Hookey, a proud Waanyi and Muruwari woman, i2C’s Branded Environments team worked closely with our Interior Design team to create a memorable brand experience.

The murals explore multiple aspects of culture and life through both pre and post-colonialism lenses while ensuring colour palette, materiality and graphic outcomes blended seamlessly with the design of the interior. With a focus on encouraging culturally safe and inclusive conversations, this project ensures the best brand experience for i2C’s Brisbane Studio.

The intention was to create a love letter to reconciliation and community. The environmental graphics displayed throughout the studio carve out space for respectful conversations and Indigenous voices to flourish.

The Transform Awards ANZ celebrate excellence in rebranding and brand strategy. The awards recognise best practice in corporate, product and global brand development work in the region, with categories that focus on content, execution, evaluation and strategy. More than that, the awards provide a platform for organisations to tell their stories and to discuss reputational change.
