FULFILLING COMMUNITY NEEDS
As well as the retail offerings, the centre has been designed as a community hub featuring medical centre office spaces, gym, and an Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten Centre, which occupies a stand-alone custom-built premises, with more than 140 spaces for children aged from nursery to kindergarten.
EARTHY TONES AND MATERIALS
The material palette was chosen to ensure the centre complemented the surrounding residential location. A textured interface on the ground level was designed to enhance the overall visitor experience, while a timber facade creates a sense of arrival.
Timber is used throughout the commercial, supermarket and medical entry points, to soften the design while greenery was integrated into the loading dock façade to make it visually appealing to neighbouring homes.
DESIGNED FOR EASY ACCESS
The laneway that runs north to south at the heart of the centre was designed to allow visitors easy access to every corner of the centre via a pedestrian path sheltered by a canopy. In addition, the angled roof design allows natural daylight while reducing glare.
The village square is the heart of the centre and offers a lush backdrop and a secure children’s play area.
